US MARKET BREAKING NEWS, 13 OCT 2011

1. JPMorgan Reports Quarterly Profit of $1.02 a Share vs. Consensus Estimate of 91 Cents a Share.
2. Jobless Claims Unexpectedly Fall by 1,000 to 404,000; Trade Deficit Lower than Expected in August, at $45.61 Billion.
3. Stocks opened lower Thursday after JPMorgan's less-than-stellar earnings and weaker-than-expected trade data from China left traders cautious.
4. Stocks declined Thursday, led by banks, following JPMorgan's less-than-stellar earnings and after dismal economic data from China reignited worries about a slowing global economy.
 5. Stocks came off their worst levels in a volatile session Thursday, but still closed mixed as investors remained cautious following JPMorgan earnings and a tepid Chinese economic report.
BofA lagged on the Dow, while Intel advanced.
6.  Google blew past expectations with earnings of $9.72 a share and revenue of $7.51 billion. Its shares surged more than 5 percent after-hours.
