Budget carrier AirAsia is looking to shake up another industry with the launch of Redbox, its latest foray that sees the airliner taking on the world of courier services.
According to the Sepang-based group, its new service will provide customers up to 50 percent in savings in cost compared with other existing courier services.
Redbox will tap into AirAsia’s extensive route network of over 88 destinations and 22 countries.
The service is currently available in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Nepal.
It will be progressively expanded to Australia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, China and the United States of America.
