1. Non-Farm Payrolls Grew More than Expected, Up by 103,000 in September; Unemployment Rate at 9.1%
2. Stocks were higher at the open Friday as investors were encouraged by a stronger-than-expected monthly government payrolls report.
 3. Stocks fluctuated Friday as ongoing worries over the euro zone financials overshadowed a stronger-than-expected government jobs report.
 4.  Despite a failed attempt at the end of Friday's session to close the session out on a positive note, stocks finished higher for the week on some tepid signs of recovery for the US economy.
